Membership

Downland Art Society is an open Society, in that anyone can apply to join.

Membership to the Society is divided into two categories those being: ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP AND FULL MEMBERSHIP.

Joining

We sometimes have waiting list for joining Downland Art Society, so anyone wishing to join is either put on the waiting list if there is one, or recruited straight away as an Associate Member if there is no waiting list.

Associate Membership to Full Membership

The move from Associate Membership to Full Membership is achieved by either of the following:

• 1. Producing 3 framed paintings for evaluation by Members of the selection Committee as established at the time at any of the Saturday meetings. The Associate Member will then be approved either as a Full Member or remain as an Associate depending on the prospective member's abilities.
• 2. Submitting 1 framed painting to our Spring exhibition and if chosen as the winner of the Kay Seear award, automatically becoming a Full Member.

Fees

Full annual membership £18.00 per anum.

Associate annual membership £16.00 per anum.

Membership renewal
Annual membership renewal falls on January 1st. Those joining the Society after October 1st in any year will not be required to pay the subscription for the following calendar year.
